A.A.Milne
    Alan Alexander Milne was born in London England on January 18 1882.  Milne was the third youngest child in his family.  He began to read at the age of two.  Later, he went to Henley House School which was run by his father John Vine Milne, who was married to Sarah Maria. 

     In 1903 he left London to write, but  he spent all his money and earned almost nothing.Over the years he earned more money.  In 1906, Milne got a job as the assistant editor of Punch Magazine.  He kept with the job for 8 years and around that period he wrote 18 plays and 3 novels.

     In 1913 A.A.Milne married Dorothy de Selincourt.  They had one son, Christopher Robin Milne who was born in 1920.  In 1924, Milne wrote a children's poetry book titled When We Were Very Young.  The illustrator, E.H.Shepherd, for When We Were Very Young also illustrated Winnie - the - Pooh which was published in 1925.
